Learn about YVR Pups and Handlers

A History of YVR Pups and Handlers

YVR Pups and Handlers began as a small group of enthusiasts in the Vancouver area who wanted to create a dedicated space for the pup and handler community. What started as informal meetups quickly grew into something much larger.

Recognizing the need for a more organized community structure, the founding members established YVR PAH as a formal organization. The goal was simple: create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment where pups, handlers, and allies could connect, learn, and support one another.

Over the years, YVR PAH has grown to become one of Vancouver's most active community groups, hosting regular events, educational workshops, and social gatherings. Our community continues to evolve and expand, always staying true to our core values of respect, consent, safety, and inclusion.

Today, YVR PAH serves as a vital hub for the pup and handler community in the Greater Vancouver area, providing resources, support, and opportunities for connection. We're proud of our history and excited about our future as we continue to grow and serve our community.
